A Family Passion
TrapBootjie is proudly part of the Kayak Clifton family – Cape Town's beloved water adventure company with over 1200 five-star reviews. What started as guided kayak tours from the stunning Clifton Beach has grown into a passion for getting families out on the water.
After the success of Pedal Boat Cape Town at the V&A Waterfront, we knew we had to bring the fun to the Garden Route. And so TrapBootjie was born – named after the Afrikaans word for "pedal boat" (trapbootjie). Fun to say, easy to remember, and truly South African!
Our unique car-shaped pedal boats (yes, they look like little Porsches!) were an instant hit. Kids love pretending to drive on the water, while parents enjoy the gentle exercise and stunning scenery.
Today, we operate at two beautiful locations in the Garden Route area, bringing the same quality, safety standards, and fun-first attitude that made Kayak Clifton a Cape Town favourite.
