Making Waves of Joy
From a simple dream to splashing smiles across the Western Cape โ this is the TrapBoodjie story.
A Family Passion
TrapBoodjie started with a simple observation: families were looking for fun, affordable activities that everyone could enjoy together. We saw kids' eyes light up at the sight of colourful boats, and we knew we had to bring that joy to the Western Cape.
The name "TrapBoodjie" comes from the Afrikaans word for "pedal boat" โ trapbootjie. We wanted a name that was fun to say, easy to remember, and truly South African.
Our unique car-shaped pedal boats (yes, they look like little Porsches!) were an instant hit. Kids love pretending to drive on the water, while parents enjoy the gentle exercise and stunning scenery.
Today, we operate at two beautiful locations in the Garden Route area, and we're proud to have created countless happy memories for families from all over South Africa and beyond.
